The secret that punches above its rarity

The Gargoyle is a stone-winged secret from the Angels & Demons biome, and the best example in Steal an Egg of why egg weight beats rarity. An average Gargoyle is a decent secret. A massive golden one made $67 billion per second, more than most players' divines. If you see a giant Gargoyle egg, treat it like a divine.

Income readings

Copy Income
Admin-abuse, small $2.3B
Average $201M
Scrambled $4.4B
Massive, unmutated (estimated) $13.8B
Massive, Golden $67B

The massive one came from the Enchanted Forest update's Admin Abuse: "An absolutely massive secret gargoyle. Oh my gosh. I can take it. I didn't even use speed for this." The egg info showed $13.8B before hatching, and it hatched golden: "Wait, he's golden, too… 67 billion a second. That's my new best pet. And it had to be that number, didn't it?"

How to get one

  • Angels & Demons nests (20B speed). Secret spawns are announced.
  • Admin Abuse. "Secret gargoyle egg" spawns were common in admin events, often big.
  • Server hopping for big ones, like Stags.

Many Gargoyles you'll find are small. One creator sold theirs: "I'm going to sell the gargoyles, bro." Only keep the ones that make your Equip Best.

Mutating a Gargoyle

A big Gargoyle is one of the best mutation targets in Steal an Egg because its weight often beats a small divine's. Results:

  • A Scrambled Gargoyle in the 100-day series made $4.4B ("Yo, that is fire").
  • The massive one's Golden roll took it to $67B.

If you get a massive Gargoyle egg, consider spending Scrambled potions and Enchanted Essence on it before your divines.

Gargoyle vs divines

Small divines make roughly $1–10B. A massive golden Gargoyle at $67B beats a large Kitsune ($48B rainbow) and many Night Flames. That's why we put massive Gargoyles in A tier, even though the species is "only" a secret.

Common Gargoyle mistakes

  • Selling every Gargoyle on sight. Small ones are filler, but check the egg's weight first. The $67B golden one looked like any other Gargoyle egg until someone read the number.
  • Mutating a small one. A Scrambled potion on a $201M Gargoyle is a waste when a big egg is sitting next to it.
  • Fighting the whole server for a tiny egg. Massive Gargoyle eggs are worth a Hammer fight; average ones aren't.

Gargoyle FAQ

Is the Gargoyle a divine? No, it's a secret. It just scales unusually well with size.

Where do the big ones come from? In our sources, from admin spawns around updates and from patient server hopping in Angels & Demons.

Should I fuse Gargoyles? Only spare small ones. Never put a big one in the Fuse Machine, because fusing rerolls size.
