Who we are
Steal an Egg Wiki is an independent fan site about Steal an Egg, the Roblox tycoon where you sneak past sleeping guardians, grab their eggs and sprint home before they wake up. The site is run by players of the game who wanted one place that answers the questions we kept asking ourselves while playing: which pet is actually worth a pen slot, how much speed the next biome really needs, and whether a Rainbow mutation is worth waiting for.
We are not the developers of Steal an Egg, we do not work for Roblox Corporation, and nobody pays us to rank one pet above another. Everything on this site is written from the point of view of a player trying to get stronger without wasting time or Robux.
Why this Steal an Egg wiki exists
Steal an Egg grew from launch in July 2026 to a top Roblox experience in a matter of weeks, and the game has changed almost every week since. New biomes, new divine pets, new mutations and balance changes arrive faster than most community pages can keep up with. The result is a lot of copied numbers that were true three updates ago and are wrong today.
We built this wiki to fix that in two ways:
- Show where every number comes from. Pet income figures, speed requirements and mutation multipliers on this site are tied to a source, usually a recorded session of real gameplay, and we note the egg size and mutations behind each reading so you can compare it with your own game.
- Explain, not just list. A table of pets is useful, but most players want to know what to do next. That is why most pages pair data with a plain-language explanation and why we write full guides for the questions people ask the most.
What you will find here
- A pet database with rarities, biomes, observed income, hatch times and the context behind each value. Start at the pets page.
- Biome pages for every area from the Forest to the newest zones, including speed signs, guardians and what each biome is good for. See biomes.
- Mutation data that compares Silver, Golden, Scrambled and Rainbow eggs side by side on the mutations page, including where newer in-game ratios differ from older guides.
- A tier list that ranks pets by real earning power on the tier list page.
- Calculators for income and speed planning on the calculators page.
- Guides and blog posts covering beginner progression, free-to-play routes, stealing tricks, fusion, divine hunting and the history of the game.
Most of the site is also available in Chinese, because a large part of the Steal an Egg community plays in Chinese. Our about, contact and legal pages are currently English only.
How we research and verify information
Steal an Egg does not publish an official data sheet, so every value has to be observed. Our process looks like this:
- Gameplay footage. We review public gameplay videos and our own play sessions, and we record the income, speed or price that appears on screen. Every source video is listed on our videos page.
- Cross-checking. When two sources disagree, we look for a third, and when the difference comes from a game update we say so on the page instead of quietly picking one. The mutation multipliers are a good example: older guides list Golden at 2x and Rainbow at 2.5x, while newer footage shows roughly 2.5x and 3.5x. We show both and say which is which.
- Labeling special cases. Some impressive numbers online come from creator-panel tests with admin-sized eggs that normal players cannot hatch. We mark those clearly so you do not plan around a pet that does not exist in a normal server.
- Dates on pages. Guides show a "last checked" date. If a page is old and the game has changed, treat the numbers as a snapshot.
We would rather leave a field blank than publish a number we cannot back up.
Editorial independence
We do not accept payment from players, traders, developers or other sites to change a ranking, recommend a pet or promote an item. Tier list placements and guide advice reflect our own judgement of how useful something is in the current version of the game.
This site may show advertising served by Google AdSense to cover hosting and the time it takes to keep the Steal an Egg Wiki up to date. Advertisers have no influence over our content, and ads are kept visually separate from articles. You can read how advertising and cookies work on this site in our privacy policy.
Credits
A big part of the Steal an Egg community's knowledge lives in videos made by content creators who play the game every day. When we use a creator's footage as a source, we credit it on our videos page, with a link so they get the view and you can watch the full context. Steal an Egg itself, including its name, pets and artwork, belongs to its developers, and you can play it on Roblox.
Corrections and feedback
The game moves fast and we will get things wrong sometimes. If you spot an outdated value, a broken link or a pet we have missed, please tell us. The quickest way is through our contact page. Corrections that come with a screenshot or a video timestamp are the easiest for us to verify, and we usually update the page within a few days.
Thanks for reading, and good luck with your next steal.
