The angelic divine

The Archangel is the holy half of the Angels & Demons divine pair, a winged, statuesque divine that looks especially good with the Silver mutation ("almost looks like a statue"). It's a top-tier earner in Steal an Egg and, by reputation, one of the rarest divines to actually see spawn.

Income readings

Copy Income
Silver, 102,000 kg $5.4B
Average admin-gifted ~$9–10B
Silver, larger $10B
Large, unmutated $64B
Large, Silver $77B
Large, Golden $162B
Large, Scrambled $178B
Large, Rainbow $227B
Admin-size, Scrambled $19.6T

Again the large-egg series shows the clean mutation ratios: Silver ~1.2x, Golden ~2.5x, Scrambled ~2.78x, Rainbow ~3.55x.

Why the Archangel is so hard to get

Divine spawns are random, and the Archangel seems to be on the stingy end. One player hunting every divine went days without it: "This hasn't spawned in like 10 days. This is actually happening." When it finally appeared, they got hit first ("No, I got hit. Holy crap") and still made it home with a silver one. "I got the only divine that I haven't gotten."

Because spawns are game-wide but sizes differ by server, it's worth hopping when it does spawn. And because it's rare, everybody in the server will be fighting you for it.

How to steal it

  • Speed: the Angels & Demons sign is 20B. Small copies can be kited home with less using the drop trick.
  • Weapon: a Hammer or the Titan Temple Axe. Contested divines go to whoever knocks rivals furthest.
  • Traps: place a couple on the route home ahead of time.
  • Patience: keep Steal an Egg open. The spawn message is the only warning.

The egg takes about 17 hours to grow. Several players planned to save their Archangel for something special, like a later fusion, rather than mutate it immediately.

Archangel vs World Burner

In a same-size test they were identical (19.6T each). In practice, whichever you get is fine, and owning both opens up the Aetherion fusion at the back waterfall, which produces a divine stronger than either.

Mutation advice

The Archangel takes mutations as well as any divine. If you only have one Scrambled potion's worth of luck, though, put it on whichever divine egg is heavier. Size multiplies with mutations, so the bigger egg gains more.

Tier and verdict

S tier, tied with the World Burner. It's a late-game pen anchor that's harder to get than its twin only because of how rarely it seems to spawn. If you see the announcement, drop everything.

Archangel FAQ

Is Silver bad on an Archangel? Silver is only about 1.2x, but players love the statue look. For income, Golden, Scrambled or Rainbow are far better.

Can I fuse Archangels? Two divines at the back waterfall make an Aetherion egg, a stronger divine. Fusion rerolls size, so it's best with smaller copies.
