The biggest Steal an Egg update so far
The Enchanted Forest update landed during an Admin Abuse that had the whole player base waiting at the end of the track. It added a biome, a divine, a fusion, a mutation, a quest line, two mini games, a treadmill and a tease for mounts. Here's what arrived, in the order players saw it, and what it means for your account.
The countdown
Before the reveal, the gates at the end of the map were already gone but no new biome was visible, a clear sign of a cutscene coming. The index had updated early, so sharp-eyed players spotted a whale-like silhouette, a new bear and several new secrets before anything spawned. One creator had already upgraded to the brand-new Guardian treadmill (34M speed per step) before the event even began.
The admin then rolled out the usual boosts: a 4x admin treadmill (139M per step with everything stacked), 2x money, 2x egg size and a 2x mutation boost, plus eternal Oni Tiger and Gorilla King spawns. Guesses for the new biome's speed requirement ranged from 50 to 100 billion.
New mini games
Two mini games debuted during the countdown:
- Red Light Green Light. A giant Ben stands at the end of a course. Move while he's watching and you get zapped. Griefers bumped people into the laser, and traps still caught runners. The first winner walked off with a Gorilla King egg.
- T-Rex waves. Rows of T-Rexes sweep the field while you steal the big T-Rex's egg. It was "a bit too easy" at first, until traps entered the picture.
The beanstalk event
Then the main event started with a cutscene: a carrot, a hungry noob, and a beanstalk. The steps:
- Catch 20 red fireflies. Each one grows the beanstalk. It's a race.
- Bounce up, grab a leaf, hold it under the rain cloud to water the beanstalk, three times, while dodging lightning.
- Bounce up again and ride the giant whale through the sky, dodging exploding obstacles. If something glows pink, you're on a collision course.
- Steal the giant egg at the top and escape down a long slide, temple-run style, while a lion chases you. Avoid the logs.
The prize was a lion and the secret Rainbow Amethyst Rune Bear at around $2.8–3.3B, so rare it wasn't even in the index at first. The admin was seen riding the lion afterwards, followed by the line "we mount next week."
The Enchanted Forest biome
The new biome's sign reads 50 billion speed. Its pool includes Jackalopes, Pandas, Star Foxes, a secret Crab, the eternal Celestial Sun Lion (instantly called "the best eternal in the entire game") and the divine Royal Sky Whale.
Early readings: a massive Panda and a Sun Lion at about $4.3B each, Star Foxes at $1.6–3B, a giant secret Gargoyle at $13.8B before mutations, and the first naturally stolen Royal Sky Whale (170,000 kg) at $8.9B base.
The Wisp quest and the tree
A Wisp, the spirit of the enchanted tree, asks you to steal 20 forest eggs, fuse a forest animal and steal an eternal. Return it and the tree opens, with the butterfly net, fusion spots and a mushroom-and-banjo puzzle that unlocks a staircase to a hidden machine. Full walkthrough in our Enchanted Forest guide.
Enchanted mutation
Butterfly Bloom became a recurring event: net butterflies, find the rare Golden Radiant, craft Enchanted Essence and apply it at 100%. It stacks with everything. In the first days, one creator put Scrambled + Enchanted on a big egg and got a $93B pet, while a massive golden Gargoyle without it came out at $67B. Enchanted instantly became the safest finishing mutation in the game.
The Spirit World Guardian
The update's real endgame was discovered over the following days. Two Royal Sky Whales and two Celestial Sun Lions placed together in the tree fuse into the Spirit World Guardian. A Vietnamese creator's Golden + Scrambled + Enchanted Guardian came out at $2.2 trillion per second, the strongest pet we've recorded. Recipe and notes on the Guardian page.
Quality-of-life changes
- Price cuts for treadmills and some passes on newer accounts. One creator noticed the top treadmill was now half the old price while giving far more speed.
- The Hammer, a new top-tier weapon with huge knockback.
- New index pages, and the new divine counts toward the index.
What it means for you
- Mid-game players: the price cuts help most. Your next treadmill is cheaper than old guides say.
- Divine hunters: the Sky Whale is the new top target, and you want two.
- Everyone: get the butterfly net. Enchanted Essence is the only guaranteed mutation in Steal an Egg.
And keep an eye on Saturdays. Mounts look like they're next.
